Petersen & Petersen helps to End Distracted Driving in Northeast Ohio.
June 2014 -- Susan Petersen was sworn in to a Ninth Term as a Director to the Board of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys. As part of her community service work for the organization, Susan has taken a leadership role as part of CATA's End Distracted Driving Campaign. As part of the Community Outreach Committee, she will be presenting to area high schools in an effort to educate about the dangers of distracted driving and to encourage teens to keep their eyes on the road and off their cell phones. May 2015 -- the Membership of the Ohio Association for Justice elected Susan Petersen to a Fourth Term on its Board of Trustees at its annual membership dinner in Columbus, Ohio. Political activist, Robert Kennedy Jr., was the keynote speaker at the event. The Ohio Association for Justice
is the only statewide association of attorneys whose mission is to preserve our Constitutional rights and protect access to the civil justice system for all Ohioans through advocacy in the Courthouse, Statehouse, and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. Todd Petersen Serves as President of the Geauga County Bar Association
December 2013 - Petersen & Petersen founder, Todd Petersen, was sworn in for service as President of the Geauga County Bar Association. Todd previously served as President of the Geauga Bar Foundation and as a member of various bar committees. As part of his leadership role, he led this year's effort to celebrate Law Day, which was first declared by President Eisenhower in 1958 as “a special day of celebration by the people of the United States … in appreciation of their liberties and the reaffirmation of their loyalty to the United States and of their rededication to the ideals of equality and justice under law in their relations with each other and with other countries.” Law Day programs are designed to help people understand how the law keeps us free and how our legal system strives to achieve justice.
